Design, Assemble and Dismantle Project (D.A.D PROJECT)colloborated withthe Spatial Structures Research Centre, School of Sustainability, Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Surrey, UK.
The DAD Project is a hands-on educational project that challenges students in designing and
constructing a full-scale lattice structure. This project is a collaboration between Ir Dr Nor
Ashikin Binti Muhamad Khairussaleh with the Spatial Structures Research Centre, School of
Sustainability, Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Surrey, UK. The centre
also funded the teaching kit for this project. This tertiary-level learning for civil engineering
students has been implemented at the Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology, Universiti
Malaysia Pahang (UMP) since 2022. This unique learning helps improve engineering student's
understanding of structural behaviour and on-site challenges that may arise during the
construction process.
